First Thoughts

Parents need to consider and do what works for

your child and caters to their interests/talents.

Young people love activity and expression, but the

“meat” of the Bible is what’s important

LTC is not just outings, it’s about Christian service

as a way of life, learning the Bible and developing

leaders

Narrow down the events that you think will work

for your church, then get students’ input

SELTC’S GOAL

Leadership Training for Christ challenge

kindergartner through twelfth graders to:

Grow in their knowledge of God’s

Word

Discover and develop leadership skills

Develop a servant attitude

Learn to work as a team.

SELTC Judging Guidelines

• For each event, there is a list of judging criteria.

• Participants will NOT compete against each

other.

• Each participant will be judged according to the

criteria (rubric) listed in the SELTC yearly

manual.

• Judges will award Gold, Silver, Bronze based on

each individual’s performance.

Judges are regular church members or people

specialized in that area of expertise. Example:

signing for the deaf, Spanish, songleaders, etc.
