SERVANTHOOD:SERVANTHOOD:THE ROAD TO GREATNESSTHE ROAD TO GREATNESS
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-4535 James and John, the two sons of
Zebedee, came up to Jesus, saying, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask of You.” 36 And He said to them, “What do you want
Me to do for you?”
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-4537 They said to Him, “Grant that
we may sit, one on Your right and one on Your left, in Your glory.”
38 But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are
you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the
baptism with which I am baptized?”
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-4539 They said to Him, “We are able.” And Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink you shall drink; and you shall be baptized with the
baptism with which I am baptized.
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-4540 But to sit on My right or
on My left, this is not Mine to give; but it is for those for whom it
has been prepared.” 41 Hearing this, the ten began to feel indignant with
James and John.
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-4542 Calling them to Himself, Jesus
said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them;
and their great men exercise authority over them.
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-4543 But it is not this way among
you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your
servant; 44 and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all.
MARK MARK 10:35-4510:35-45
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
MANILA – Diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corporation (SMC) emerged as the most preferred employer in the Philippines, an online
job portal site reported on Thursday. In a survey conducted by Jobstreet.com Philippines, job seekers and current employees were asked which company they would like to work for. SMC ranked first with 21 percent, or a total of 1,223 out of the 5,673 Jobstreet.com members who answered the survey. Other "preferred employers" included multinational corporations Nestle Philippines (9 percent),
Procter and Gamble Philippines (8 percent), Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines (8 percent), and Accenture (6 percent) as their preferred
employers. The first four companies are listed under fast-moving consumer goods, with Accenture as the only one falling under the
technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) category.
All about the money?
Why do many Filipinos want to work for these companies?
The survey found that salary was the foremost reason why fresh graduates to managers would want to work for these companies. For
experienced candidates, benefits was the second reason why they would want to work for these companies. Among the key benefits are
insurance and medical coverage, as well as car and housing loan assistance. Fresh graduates preferred support and training or learning and development as their number two consideration in picking these
companies.Company reputation was another workplace consideration across all position levels. SMC, Nestle, P&G, Coca-Cola and Accenture are all
considered as top companies in the country.
Jobstreet.com Marketing Director Yolanda Buyco said some of those candidates they interviewed say that culture is also an important
factor in selecting a company.
Among those that fall under company culture include familial work environment and cross-cultural experiences in the workplace.
The survey was conducted by Jobstreet.com from March 26 to June 19 of this year. Respondents varied from a diverse set of specializations
and position levels.

JESUS
JESUS IS THE PREMIERE EXAMPLE OF GREATNESS
BECAUSE HE IS THE PREMIERE EXAMPLE OF
SERVANTHOOD.
JOHN JOHN 13:5-10 13:5-10 (NASB)(NASB)
5 Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the
disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was
girded. 6 So He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him, “Lord, do
You wash my feet?”
JOHN JOHN 13:5-10 13:5-10 (NASB)(NASB)
7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.”
8 Peter said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus
answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
JOHN JOHN 13:5-10 13:5-10 (NASB)(NASB)
9Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.”
10 Jesus said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his
feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”
JOHN JOHN 13:21-26 13:21-26 (NASB)(NASB)
21 When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and
testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will
betray Me.”
JOHN JOHN 13:21-26 13:21-26 (NASB)(NASB)
22 The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking. 23 There was reclining on Jesus’ bosom one of His
disciples, whom Jesus loved.
JOHN JOHN 13:21-26 13:21-26 (NASB)(NASB)
24 So Simon Peter gestured to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.” 25 He,
leaning back thus on Jesus’ bosom, said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
JOHN JOHN 13:21-26 13:21-26 (NASB)(NASB)
26 Jesus then answered, “That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
We don’t serve God for the benefits that we can receive. We serve Him because He first served
us.
