The effective Christian steward tailors his/her life according to the original life purposes given by

God in Eden.

Step I: Who is God?

“God created the heaven and the earth.”

Step I: Who Is God?

i. God is Eternal.

i. God is the Creator.

i. God is Self-Sufficient.

i. God is the Owner

i. God is both Elohim (Gen.1) and Yahweh (Gen. 2)

The Original Life Purposes were the principles underneath the lifestyle of our first parents.

Step IV: Sin and the Life Purposes

The First TemptationGenesis 3:1,4,5Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Sin Spoiled the 5 Life Purposes

i. You shall be gods … not a creature.ii. Rely on oneself… Not trustworthy

anymore v/s God ( Rom. 8:7,8)iii. We lost his Image … distortion of the

image of God in us. (Rom.3:23)iv. Separation from God … Run away from

God, Chased out of the garden. (Is. 59:1,2)

v. Subdue to nature, subdue to each other, subdue to sin ( Rom. 6:16)

SIN

Sin is so devastating because it moves human beings away from what they were designed for.

Step V: Salvation and the Life Purposes

Jesus the New StewardCommissioned by God

John 3:35

The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.

Matthew 11:27

“All things have been committed to me by my Father.”

In Jesus… We are Reestablished as Creatures

2 Corinthians 5:17

“So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

In Jesus… We re-enter into a Dependent Relation with God

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He whoabides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. »

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

In Jesus … The Lost Image is Restored

Romans 8:29

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son…

Colossians 1:15

“Who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation.”
