Proverbs 5 1 My son, attend (pay attention) unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my under-standing: 2 That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

God wants His children to, not only hear Wisdom, but to speak with Wisdom.

What we think becomes what we say, and what we say often becomes what we do.

God hates lying.

Never contemplate lying for any reason.

Never speak lies.

God hates hands that shed innocent blood.

Don’t think about killing or speak of it.

God hates those who sow discord among brethren.

Don’t think about gossip.

Don’t speak gossip.

God hates feet that run to mischief.

Yet too many of His kids think mischief is fun.

They think and talk and laugh about it.

God hates it.

The Bible teaches that God hates divorce.

So we should never discuss the possibility.

Never use it as a threat in an argument.

Think about making marriage work.

Ask yourself what you can do.

We need to make the Wisdom of God’s Word so much a part of ourselves – who we are, what we

think and say –

That we cease to think, say, or do according to the pattern of the people of this world.

3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. 6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

Fornication and adultery are destructive sins.

Don’t think about it, or talk about it,

And stay away from those who do.

A woman on the make – wanting to fornicate –

has a smooth tongue.

She will laugh at your jokes, hang onto your every word, and tell you how smart you are.

Don’t be fooled!

A man on the make is no different; he may be worse.

He will tell you how beautiful you are.

He will listen to your troubles.

He will agree with you.

I see a lesson here for a married couple.

A man should listen to his wife; really hear her.

Tell her she looks good.

Be good to her; speak her love language.

A woman should laugh at her husband’s jokes– whether they’re real funny or not.

Hang onto his every word.

Make him feel smart.

Show him respect.

The things that work to steal a mate,

Will work to keep him or her.

Don’t be easily irritated.

But also – don’t be purposely irritating.
