Prayer For the Gift of PovertyLord Jesus, we ask You for a new fullness of the charism of POVERTY. We ask You to reveal to us our inordinate attachments, our holding on things or persons, our “richness” that keeps us from saying a more complete “Yes” to You. Teach us to surrender to You our excessive search for material comforts, and whatever material goods we have that we do not really need to serve You. Lord, teach us to be poor in spirit, always aware of and relying on Your presence and power.

Prayer For the Gift of Chastity

Creator of humanity, bless us with Your infinite graces, that we may remain in a state of purity, strengthening our body, spirit and soul to continually reflect Your CHASTITY. Protect our souls in its daily struggles, guiding it to ponder on Your Goodness.

Prayer For the Gift of Obedience

Gracious God, help us to hear You better and to live in OBEDIENCE to Your loving Will for us. Help us to be always in a spirit of listening and of readiness to hear Your Word. Let us live Your “emptying out”, Lord, in our daily contemplation, in humble and loving reverence, in our community and in our apostolate, in all the ways You speak to us. Amen.
