Despite the plans you have for yourself, God has ordained a destiny for you, and rest assured, His counsel will stand.

God wants to introduce you to you. There are certain things only God can answer for you. If you diligently seek Him, He will reveal to you who Jesus is. Once that pivotal event happens, as it did for Peter, then your Savior Jesus the Christ will immediately reveal to you who you are.

Letter from the pastor, pg.4

Page 11: New Members Orientation

Then God reveals something to you no one can take or talk you out of.

God wnts each of us to walk in our destiny. Live the life God has already planned for you.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope [Jeremiah 29:11]Such are the plans for us, the people of God, the Called Out people.

Amazed by His Grace, T.L. Hood

Our History

In February, 2000 the Reverend Timmy L. Hood was called to provide the spiritual guidance and leadership to the New Horizon Family. New Horizon Baptist Church began to move toward its dream of becoming a Nondenomominational Church in 2004. Stepping out in faith and building upon the following eleven principles, Pastor Timmy L. Hood led by the Holy Spirit, changed the ministry's name to Crossroads Christian Cathedral Church also known as CCC of KCK

Our History, pg 3

These 11 characteristics led the Crossroads Christian Cathedral Church to be the church our Lord called it to be, to lead His people to Him through the Word of God, and to glorify Christ!

Each of these 11 principles builds upon the other, allowing them to work together to engender a supernatural church. At Crossroads Christian Cathedral Church, real needs are met and our gifts are used because the teaching, worship, and prayer all empower people through the work of the Holy Spirit.

What We Believe

We Believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired and infallible Word of God; and that it is the divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life. (II Tim. 3:16-17)

We Believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) and the three is one God, who is creator of all things. (Gen 1:1-3,26; I John 5:7-8)

Page 22: New Members Orientation

What We Believe, pg 2

We Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the first and only begotten Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of Mary, was crucified, died and buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father (John 3:16, Luke 24:7; I Cor 15:12-23)

We Believe in personal salvation of believers through the blood shed of Jesus Christ by accepting Christ as Savior (Rom 10:9-13; Acts 4:12)

Page 23: New Members Orientation

What We Believe, pg 3

We Believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of his Fellowship with God and bring loving discipline of his Heavenly Father (Eph 2:8-10; John 10:22-30)

We Believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and is empowered for witness and service. We believe that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are operative today. (Gal 5:16-25; I Cor 12:4-11)

Page 24: New Members Orientation

What We Believe, pg 3

We Believe that everyone who receives Christ becomes joint heirs with Him, and at death, their spirit departs to be with Christ and at His second coming their bodies will be raised to the likeness of the body of His glory. ( I Thess 4:13-18)

We Believe in water baptism, through immersion as an act of obedience and in Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper), and that they should be observed by all believers until His return (I Cor 15:1-4, Rom 6:3-7; Matt 26:26-29; I Cor 11:23-26)

Page 25: New Members Orientation

What We Believe, pg. 4

We Believe in sanctification; separation unto holiness is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, beginning at salvation and continuing throughout the life of the believer. (Heb. 12:14; I Thess 5:23)

We Believe that God anoints leaders (Senior Pastor, Elders, and Deacons) to guide His Church in the understanding and application of the Holy Scriptures. It is their responsibility to be an example of godliness as they see to the spiritual well being and protection of the flock over which God has given them charge. (Acts 6:1-8; Acts 20:28; Heb. 13:17; I Pet. 5:1-3)
