NAVVRAS THE ESSENCE OF LIFE…

Jun 2013 Vol.I / Issue2

JUPITER TRANSIT 2013

Movement spells change and significant movement of heavyweight planets

spells bigger change. The heavyweight planet of our solar system Jupiter, the

mentor of Gods - Guru moved into the sign of Gemini or Mithuna on May 31,

2013 and will stay in that sign for the subsequent 13 months.

Jupiter is saatvik energy, a benevolent planet that rules over justice, wisdom,

auspicious events and good fortune for each individual. Since Jupiter is such

a significant planet, that determines the foundations of life and decisions of

individuals; combined with the fact that it stays in a zodiacal sign for a long

duration of 13 months, the impact on life will be significant too and also quite

specific. What the coming 13 months augur for each sign, would depend on

the transit from natal moon, the sign it is transiting through, houses ruled etc.

Brihaspati first in his birth from the vast light,

in the highest heavenly space, with his seven

fronts, with his seven rays, with his many

births, drives utterly away the darknesses that

encompass us with his cry. ---Rig Veda

As Jupiter steps into the dual sign of Gemini, ruled by Mercury, individuals

can expect that the wisdom and maturity of Guru will blend with the incisive

and persuasive communication of Mercury. Now whether this combination

can work wonders for an individual or indicates caution - to watch against

smart-mouthing for one’s own interest will depend on where Jupiter transits

from natal moon and whether it will be auspicious or trying. You can read the

prediction for your sign by clicking here.

ALWAYS LEARNING

process of learning is perpetual

from anything and everyone, the

lotus of your heart opens up to

receive and blossom. I wish you

an enjoyable journey each day,

exulting in your learning. With

Love and Light

THE BRIHASPATI TEMPLE IN KUMBHAKONAM – ALANGUDI

The holy place of Kumbhakonam is the place of the ultimate parihara. The sacred place is home to the famous and powerful Navgraha temples – all located in fair proximity to each other. Among these, the temple of Jupiter or Brihaspati is also there and goes by the name of Alangudi.

As one approaches the temple, place and its energies are marked by a distinct ease and it seems that suddenly one has entered a safe zone where kindness is the order. The beauty lies in the fact that the temple town of Kubhakonam, it is far flung from the city life and therefore, despite hundreds and thousands of devotees flocking there the temples have retained their ancient charm, power and energy!

Known as the Sri Abathsahayeswarar Temple of Aranyeshwara, the temple is dedicated to Dakshinamurthy Shiva and his consort Parvati. Dakshinamurthy is the guru form of Shiva. In this temple, there is an engraving of Lord Brihaspati and does not appear as a separate idol.

When Shiva swallowed halahala (poison) that surfaced after the great churning of the ocean for nectar (amrita manthan), he came to be known as abathsahayeshwarar, meaning savior.

REMEDY/ PARIHARA FOR GURU/ JUPITER
