This bhajan shows how Shiva and Narayana

complement each other.

Observation 1:

Nandeeshwara and Nandatmaja

Nandeeshwara refers to Shiva as the Master of Nandi, the Bull.

Nandatmaja refers to Narayana as the Son of Nanda, who was the owner of thousands of cows , and so, we can safely call Narayana as the Master of the Cows , the Female counterpart of the Bulls.

Observation 2:Nagabharana and Naadaswaroopa

Naadaswaroopa refers to Narayana as the one who has taken the form of Sound.

Nagabharana refers to Shiva as the one who adorns himself with snakes, which don’t have ears to hear sound.
