First, we’re going to start with the big picture of music, exposing where it is today; then we’ll narrow it down to where we need to go – what music really honors God when the body assembles.

Please slow me down, stop me or do whatever’s necessary so that you understand and we all stay on the same page. Any questions, comments or interjections are welcome and encouraged.


Why start here? To lay the foundation and to show the progression:Music is not neutral, Most of today’s music is evil, This evil music has infiltrated the church under the guise of being worshipful and acceptable, and This music dishonors the Lord.


There are literally dozens more groups that could also be exposed here.

Contained here is only a microcosm of the information that could have been presented – time restricts us.

When did Paul say these perilous times would come? What are we to do?

This teaching will cover all the popular genres of music infiltrating the church. It will show that every single description in the scripture just quoted is inherent in the music of today.


Keep in mind that we have to look at the whole picture, not just parts of it.Remember, this is a meat topic, therefore we will plod slowly and methodically.So let’s get started.

From the web:Frank Zappa was rock and roll’s sharpest musical mind and most astute social critic. He was the most prolific composer of his age, and he bridged genres – rock, jazz, classical, avant-garde and even novelty music - with masterful ease.


Zappa made the following statement: “To hang all this desperate sociology on the idea of The Cloud-Guy who has The Big Book, who knows if you've been bad or good - and CARES about any of it - to hang it all on that, folks, is the chimpanzee part of the brain working."

Frank Zappa proudly boasted: "I'm the devil's advocate. We have our own worshippers who are called 'groupies.' Girls will give their bodies to musicians as you would give a sacrifice to a god." (Peters Brothers, What About Christian Rock, p. 17) But Frank discovered, to his eternal detriment, the awful truth on December 4, 1993, the second he died.


The super group, Metallica, in the song "Jump In the Fire", commands young people to jump into hell:"Follow me now my child . . . DO JUST AS I SAY . . . Jump by your will or be taken by force - I'll get you either way . . . So reach down grab my hand walk with me through the land, COME HOME WHERE YOU BELONG So come on JUMP IN THE FIRE."


In the cover song, "The Prince", Metallica openly sings:

"Angel from below . . . I WISH TO SELL MY SOUL . . . DEVIL TAKE MY SOUL with diamonds you repay I don't care for heaven, so don't you look for me to cry AND I WILL BURN IN HELL from the day I die."

One of the most popular groups in rock history is Slayer. Slayer's albums sell in the millions! Slayer sings of themselves, as:"Warriors from the gates of hell . . . In lord Satan we trust."

Their song "Hell Awaits" says: "Jesus knows your soul cannot be savedCRUCIFY THE SO CALLED LORD He soon shall fall to me, Your souls are damned Your God has fell to slave for me eternally Hell awaits."

The group Acheron, has an album titled, "The Rites of the Black Mass". On the album Peter Gilmore, of the Church of Satan, actually reads the rites of a Black Mass, as the group Acheron, in hellish growls, sings (?) such lyrics as:

"Glory to thee almighty Satan . . . We praise thee, we bless thee, WE ADORE THEE . . . THOU ART LORD, THOU ALONE, OH MIGHTY SATAN."


The group Manowar, sings in "The Bridge of Death":

"Dark Lord, I summon thee Demanding the sacred right to burn in hell . . . Take My lustful soul Drink my blood as I drink yours . . . LUCIFER IS KING PRAISE SATAN!"

The group Morbid Angel, sings in "Vengeance in Mine":

"Mote it be Satan's sword I have become. I burn with hate TO RID THE WORLD OF THE NAZARENE!"


Trey Azagthoh of Morbid Angel claims to be a REAL vampire, and while playing onstage he actually bites himself and then drinks his own blood! . . . Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off. Le 17:14


And to commit the ultimate blasphemy they sing in the song "Blasphemy": "Chant the blasphemy Mockery of the Messiah WE CURSE THE HOLY GHOST . . . Blaspheme the Ghost BLASPHEMY OF THE HOLY GHOST."

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall never be forgiven unto men. Mt 12:31


The group Venom reveal the real reason for their music, as they sing: "We're not here to entertain you . . . I PREACH THE WAYS OF SATAN Answer to his calls!"

In their song "Possessed", they sing:

"I am possessed by all that is evil The death of your God, I demand . . . AND SIT AT LORD SATAN'S LEFT HAND!"

One of the most popular groups in rock is AC/DC. In the song, "Hells Bells", they sing:

"I got my bell I'm gonna take you to hell I'm gonna get Ya SATAN GET YA"


In their song "Highway to Hell" they spout:

"Ain't nothing I would rather do GOIN' DOWN, PARTY TIME My friends are gonna be there too . . . Hey Satan, paid my dues . . .I'm on the way to the promised land I'm on the HIGHWAY TO HELL."

Rock star, Marilyn Manson, proudly boasts: "Hopefully, I'll be remembered as the person who brought an end to Christianity." (Spin, August 1996, p. 34)

Manson's T-Shirts declare, "KILL YOUR PARENTS" and "I LOVE SATAN".


Manson claims his album Antichrist Superstar came via "supernatural-inspiration": "I heard this album as finished, I heard it in dreams . . . It was like the revelations of John the Baptist or something." (huH, Oct. 1996, p.34)

Manson's "hope" for Antichrist Superstar,: "I think every time people listen to this new album maybe God will be destroyed in their heads . . ." (huH, Oct. 1996, p.37)

Manson's "blasphemy" is not just an act. Manson readily admits there's more than meets the eye:

"I don't know if anyone has really understood what we're trying to do. This isn't just about shock value . . . that's just there to lure the people in. Once we've got em we can give em our MESSAGE." (Hit Parader, Oct. 1996, p.28)


The group Kiss, in their song "God of Thunder", commands young people to kneel before Satan:

"I'm lord of the wasteland, a modern day man of steel I gather darkness to please me and I COMMAND YOU TO KNEEL Before, The God of thunder, the god of rock 'n roll I'LL STEAL YOUR VIRGIN SOUL!"

"The energy of devils and angels is the same energy; it's how you use it. It's fuel. There is a saying: If you scare all your devils away, the angels will go away with them. You know, the halo and the horns are the same thing. Geniuses don't have time to think about how it's going to be received . . . is it morally right, will God like it?" Do we realize what this is?


The group Suicidal Tendencies reveal a frightening truth in the song "Possessed":

"I'M A PRISONER OF A DEMON . . .

It stays with me wherever I go I can't break away from its hold This must be my punishment FOR SELLING MY SOUL!"

Their songs glorify suicide and have been linked to teen suicides.


"I've now been sued by about 25 people who claim their kids committed suicide from listening to my music." - Ozzy Osbourne (Source -interview, Ozzy Meets Marilyn Manson, 1997)


Steely Dan's "Everyone' Gone to the Movies"A song about a guy who shows dirty movies in his den on his own old movie projector to kids. Key Lines "Soon it will be too late . . . bobbing for apples can wait. I know you're used to 16 or more, sorry we only have 8" That last line is a reference to the size of the film, 16mm or larger would be a pro film...8mm is amateur. The song sounds happy and upbeat, but this hides the character's seedy hobby.


America's "Horse With No Name"in actuality, is a song is about using heroin. In the 70's this song was banned from many radio stations because "horse" is a street name for heroin. If you listen to the lyrics in the chorus they say "In the desert you can remember your name. 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain." Not only does heroin cause severe memory loss but it is also used as a pain killer.


Elton John, during an interview with Parade magazine, claimed that Jesus Christ was a homosexual. The singer said, "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."


Pink Floyd sings, in the song "Sheep", "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want . . . With bright knives he RELEASETH MY SOUL He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places . . . For lo, he hath great power and GREAT HUNGER."

In their song, "Lucifer Sam", they sing: "LUCIFER . . . Always sitting by your side Always by your side."

The sinful flesh loves devilish music... music which has a Rock 'N' Roll beat and worldly lyrics. And as science is now proving, rock music is highly addictive.


Almost all of these musicians are devoted slaves of Satan. The music is evil enough on its own, but over the last few decades, for believers its become worse – it’s a pandemic being brought into the church!

The song "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones, is the official anthem for the Church of Satan. In it, Lucifer speaks in the first person and asks sympathy for all who meet him. Lead singer, Mick Jagger claims that Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan and author of the Satanic Bible, helped inspire their music. Their album titled, "Their Satanic Majesties Request", leaves no doubt to their allegiance!


Aleister Crowley’s motto was “Do what Thou Wilt”. He also enjoyed being called ”The wickedest man in the world”.

How serious are they?

At the 1992 MTV Awards, the group Red Hot Chili Peppers, upon receiving their award and giving thanks, said:

"FIRST OF ALL we want to thank Satan."


What do you think this music is doing to people, especially our young?


Studies taken by the Georgia Police Academy revealed that 90% of those involved in Satanism are TEENAGERS!

"Stairway to Heaven" is arguably the greatest rock song ever.Dolly Parton said, “I love that song, and I always thought it sounded like a spiritual song. Robert Plant said he had always thought of it as a spiritual song and was thrilled that I had put the choir on it, 'cause he had always heard it like that. I believe a good song can be done any way if you really mean it from the heart.”


Led Zeppelin also introduced personal occult symbols on one of their albums. Guitarist Jimmy Page of Zeppelin is a devout follower of Satanist Aleister Crowley who proclaimed himself as "The Beast 666". In 1971, Page bought Crowley’s Boleskine House on the shore of Loch Ness where Crowley practiced his hellish, satanic sex-magic rituals. Guitarist Jimmy Page actually performed Crowley magical rituals during their concerts.

Page had inscribed in the vinyl of their album Led Zeppelin III, Crowley's famous "Do what thou wilt. So mete it Be’. Page and Robert Plant claim some of Zeppelins' songs came via occultic "automatic handwriting", including their popular "Stairway to Heaven". Stephen Davis in the Hammer of the Gods, details the occult inspiration of "Stairway to Heaven“:

Of all the musical groups that have harmed society, the Beatles almost assuredly lead the pack. They literally changed overnight the genre of music in Britain and the United States, and then ultimately the world.

The Beatles have been named the 'icons of the century' by readers of U.S. entertainment magazine, Variety. The Beatles made a global impact on the pop music market.It named the Liverpool band "the sole group who has most shaped the face of modern-day show business."


The list aimed to represent every side of show business, including actors, directors, screenwriters, musicians, TV presenters, animals, comedians and even cartoon characters.

The Beatles were also the #1 icons of immorality and rebellion.


Paul McCartney said, "We probably seem to be anti-religious. . . none of us believes in God." (Hit Parader, Jan 1970, p.15)

The cover of Sgt. Pepper's showed the Beatles with a background of, according to Ringo Starr, people "we like and admire" (Hit Parade, Oct. 1976, p.14). Paul McCartney said of Sgt. Pepper's cover, ". . . we were going to have photos on the wall of all our HEROES . . ." One of the Beatle's heroes included on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's was — the infamous Satanist, Aleister Crowley! Most people, especially in 1967, did not even know who Crowley was — but the Beatles certainly did.



In 2004, McCartney addressed the issue of drugs in an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper. While Lennon and the Beatles were often frank about their drug use, for decades they denied that "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds " had anything to do with LSD.


In the interview, however, McCartney spoke openly about his Beatles-era drug use, revealing that songs such as "Day Tripper" and "Got To Get You Into My Life" were written directly about LSD and marijuana. When questioned about "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," he noted that it was "pretty obvious" that the song was inspired by LSD.

In the Anthology, one of the Beatles referred to being on LSD as like seeing through a kaleidoscope. Although Lennon denied this is about drugs, it does refer to "The girl with kaleidoscope eyes ."


John Lennon was the real leader of the Beatles. Lennon formed one of the most influential and successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century and wrote some of the most popular music in rock and roll history. This is what he said:

But he couldn’t stop it! Why?

The problem is Satan’s also blinded the eye’s of the church also! This may be excusable for baby Christians, (until they hear the truth), but it’s reprehensible for those who call themselves leaders!


The Bible makes it abundantly clear that there IS a point of No Return, for both the world and the carnal Christian.


How do all of these musicians come to the same knowledge? Some more mellow, some more intense, yet how? They have all had a common experience. They have lost their souls.They have lost their consciences. They are the UnGrateful Dead.


And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. Romans 1:28


How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 1Co 14:26

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Col 3:16 making melody in your heart to the Lord Eph 5:19


And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear. Ex 32:17-18

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Re 3:14-19


Away with your hymns of praise - they are mere noise to my ears. I will not listen to your music, no matter how lovely it is. I want to see a mighty flood of justice, and righteousness like a mighty stream. Amos 5:23-24


And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Ro 12:2


But they refused to hearken, they turned a rebellious shoulder; they stopped their ears rather than hear. Zec 7:11He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Mt 11:15

"It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools." Ecclesiastes 7:5
