Why did Jesus need to rise again?

Jesus Christ
Jesus – Son of MAN & Christ – Son of GOD
Had to become a MAN to accomplish His work
Had to be GOD to complete the work
–Men die but GOD is ETERNAL
–Men fail but only GOD can do the IMPOSSIBLE
–Men are corrupt but only GOD is HOLY
Only GOD could pay GOD
Eternal payment for Eternal wrath

We are supposed to remember the LORD
through TWO ordinances:
1.Baptism
2.Lord’s Supper
“This do in remembrance of me”
Baptism represents NEWNESS of life
Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him bybaptism into death: that like as Christwas raised up from the dead by theglory of the Father, even so we alsoshould walk in newness of life.
It does NOT give eternal life!
Resurrection means being dead to sin
Romans 6:7-10
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
