A. WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE THE FEAR OF

GOD?

1.) IT MEANS YOU FEAR HURTING, DISPLEASING AND UPSETTING GOD, YOU LOVE AND RESPECT.

• Isaiah 59:15 Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.

• Hebrews 3:10 That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.'

2.) IT MEANS YOU FEAR GOD'S PUNISHMENTS AND DISCIPLINES

• Hebrews 12:6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."[1]

• Acts 5:10-11(NIV) At that moment she fell down

at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

3.) IT MEANS YOU FEAR FAILING AND FORFEITING TO HAVE GOD'S PRESENCE, FAVOR AND APPROVAL AND SELECTION TO BE USED BY GOD.• Psalms 33:18 But the eyes of the LORD are on
