Make-A-Wish Foundation Referral Process
By Jameson Van Houten
In addition to serving as the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Stonegate Financial Group, Jameson Van Houten is a board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Arizona chapter. Jameson Van Houten and other board members of the Make-A-Wish Foundation strive to improve the lives of children who have serious illnesses, providing opportunities for them to have joyful experiences.
Introduction
The Make-A-Wish Foundation relies primarily on referrals from various community members to find the children who benefit from these life-changing opportunities. Children must be between the ages of two and a half years and 18 years, and have a life-threatening medical condition at the time of referral.
About The Make-A-Wish Foundation
Children can refer themselves or can be referred by parents, guardians, medical professionals, and other family members with detailed knowledge of the medical issues they are facing. Children can wish for anything they can think of, though most wish to go somewhere or realize a lifelong dream. Those who want to refer a child can do so online or through their local Make-A-Wish chapter.
