Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

was the preeminent leader of Indian

independence movement in British-

ruled India.

Employing nonviolent civil disobedience,

Gandhi led India to independence and

inspired movements for civil rights and

freedom across the world.

Where there is love there is life.
