Joshua 1 Moses is dead.

Get up and lead the people into the Land I have given.

Be courageous and strong;

I am with you.

When we livelive our lives according to His WordHis Word,

Carefully, Willingly, JoyfullyWe will have good successgood success in this life.

God will bless usbless us with everything we need.

Joshua 1 10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it.

No longer would God rain mannarain manna from Heaven to feed them every day.

They're homeThey're home; they will gather and eat.

That is still God's ProvisionGod's Provision.

11b for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it.

How could Joshua sayJoshua say that with such confidence?

GodGod had first said it to him.

We can speak the Word of God with confidence.

12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying, 13 RememberRemember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

These 2 ½ tribes had asked permissionpermission to settle east of Jordaneast of Jordan near the border of Canaan.

Moses made them commitcommit to help fight for the Promised Land.

Numbers 32 23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.

When God begins to bless your lifebless your life, don't forgetdon't forget about everybody else;

Don't get so busybusy enjoying your blessing, you forget about the restthe rest of the family.

14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass beforepass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valor, and help them; 15 Until the Lord have given your brethrenyour brethren rest, as He hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lord your God giveth them: then ye shall returnreturn unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.

As long as GodGod is with you, we will followfollow and obeyobey you.

He does not deservenot deserve the loyalty of his people.

We all need to know the Scriptures for ourselves.We won't be led astray.

18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.

People speak too lightlytoo lightly of commitment;"I have to follow my heart."

"I just don't feel that way any more."

And think it is okay.

Steadfast convictions

Know God's Will.A man who waverswavers between right

and wrong, good and evil, God and self,

Will nevernever be blessed as God wants to bless.

Proverbs 3 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heartall thine heart; and lean notlean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all all thy waysthy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine ownown eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
