following, he is worthy of imitating, he isworthy of emulating, and this war against

Jesus includes anyone who is walking alongside Jesus.

TEMPTATION

IS NOT SIN

Being tempted is not equal to beingdefeated. Being tempted is an

opportunity for victory; it is not anindication of defeat. Temptation and sin

are different. Temptation is an opportunityto sin, but temptation is not,

in and of itself, sin.

LANCE ARMSTRONG

Lance Edward Armstrong (born September 18,1971) is an American former professional roadracing cyclist. He is the 1993 Elite Men's RoadRace World Champion, and he had won the Tourde France seven consecutive times from 1999 to2005, but was stripped of his Tour de Francevictories in 2012 after a protracted dopingscandal.

At age 16, Armstrong began competing asa triathlete and was a national sprint-coursetriathlon champion in 1989 and 1990. In 1992,Armstrong began his career as a professionalcyclist with the Motorola team. He had notablesuccess between 1993 and 1996. Armstrong hadbeen the subject of doping allegations ever sincewinning the 1999 Tour de France.

Armstrong chose not to contest the charges,citing the potential toll on his family. As a result,he received a lifetime ban from competing in allsports that follow the World Anti-DopingAgency code—effectively ending his athleticcareer. He was also stripped of all of hisachievements after 1998, including his sevenTour de France titles.

On October 22, 2012, upheld USADA's decision.They also decided that his stripped wins wouldnot be allocated to other riders. Armstrongchose not to appeal the decision to the Court ofArbitration for Sport. In a 2013 interview,Armstrong confessed that some of theallegations were true. He has declined to testifyabout the full extent of his use of the drugs.

In the aftermath of his fall from grace,a CNN article wrote that "The epic downfall ofcycling's star, once an idolized icon of millionsaround the globe, stands out in the history ofprofessional sports."

ISRAEL HOUGHTON

Grammy-winner Israel Houghton announced theend of his 20-year marriage to MeleasaHoughton, telling Facebook followers "I failedand sinned in my marriage." The couple hasthree children.

"Several years ago I failed and sinned in mymarriage. ... Although we tried, the challengesin our relationship have proven too much toovercome. We have always handled our familyand ministry with grace and generosity towardothers, discretion, and privacy," Houghtonposted.

Houghton is the senior worship leader at JoelOsteen's Lakewood Church. He and then-wifeMeleasa founded New Breed Ministries in 1995.New Breed Ministries is comprised of notedmusicians and singers who serve within theirrespective churches and, together, serve thechurch at large.

Houghton has won five Grammy Awards, 13Dove Awards, two Stellar Awards and a SoulTrain Music Award. Houghton says the newsmight be shocking to some, but many close tothem were aware of their marital troubles.

"I am in the process of restoration and I haverepented for my actions. Although I am sincerelysorry, and forgiven, I soberly realize that I willlive with the consequences of my failings for therest of my life," Houghton posted on Facebook.

"As this has become a public matter I want toapologize to the many who have supported myministry through the years. I'm sorry for themany who will be hurt to learn of my personalfailure. I regret any pain or disappointment thatthis news may cause you. We thank you for yourprayers and for allowing us to handle thisprivately with those who are set over us in thisprocess," Houghton concluded.

Every one of us has a different bait that we prefer on our hook. A temptation for one person is not a temptation for another.

ORDINATION

God doesn’t tempt you. God will use the temptation as a trial to test and grow you,

but God doesn’t tempt you. God’s not trying to get you into trouble. God’s not trying to

get you into sin.

Just because circumstances are lined up doesn’t mean through that ordination it was

the Lord. It might be the enemy.

ORIENTATION

God didn’t orient you with an appetite toward sin. God didn’t make you as a fish

who desires bad bait.

GOD IS NOT TEMPTED, DOES NOT TEMPT, BUT RATHER CAME TO BE
