Mission San Luis Rey ParishCatholic Faith Community
Welcomes You
A Note from Fr.Vince
See the bulletin for Fr. Vince’s complete message.
In today’s Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us, “You cannot give yourself to God and money.” We need to know where our allegiance lies. Perhaps we can ask: “How much of my time, energy and creativity goes into the pursuit of money? How much goes into the pursuit of a life of holiness?”
The theme of this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal, the Joy of Love, calls to mind what we experience in giving as well as what others experience in receiving.

Saint Paul reminds us as baptized Christians,
as those who have shared the Eucharist
with one another, that we are “servants of
Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

Our primary self-understanding should be that of servants and stewards of the Lord and all that has been entrusted to us. Can we accept this self-understanding? Do we find it encouraging?
