I also would have given you so much more!

2 SAMUEL 12:8

David did not Communicate to God about Bathsheba

•David always inquired to the Lord, except about Bathsheba • 1 Sam 23:1-3, 23:4-5, 23:10-11, 23:12-14, 30:8-9; 2

Sam 2:1-2, 5:17-21, 5:22-25, 2 Sam 21:1

•God has proven Himself as a benevolent LORD• 2 Sam 12:7-8

• Why did David not ask for help?• Pride? Ignorance? He thought he would not like

God’s answer?

God has proven Himself as a Benevolent LORD

•God will supply your every Spiritual need • Phil 4:18-19, Eph 1:3-

•God also is our Father•Matt 7:7-11• A Good Father meets the needs of His child• A Good Father does not spoil His child (Heb 12:7)

• If this would have been too little, He would have given us so much more

Why do we not ask Him for HELP!

•Do you not need the Help?(Pride)• David needed to ask for help•Matt 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

•Do you not know you can ask for anything that you care about? (Ignorance) • 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you

God’s Response to Help• Sometimes God is not going to give us want we want• Sometimes we interpret that as God is going to

give us something of a less value

• Ephesians 3:19-20 “to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”

• 2 Sam 12:8 “And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!”

•When God gives Help that is different than we ask•He is giving us a higher value of help
