Paul the Persecuted (2:1-2)

• “suffered,” “mistreated,” “amid much opposition”

• Acts 16 and 17

• Do we have the “boldness” to preach/teach when out in the world?

Paul the Pattern (2:3-6, 9-10)

• In Words

Paul the Pattern (2:3-6, 9-10)

• In Works

• Paul worked hard,

• but also worked with the right motives.

• When we work, we should be the best, and still put God first.

Paul the Parent (2:7-8, 11-12)

• He was as a mother nursing a child.

• He “exhorted, encouraged, and implored” as would a father.

Some were Enthusiastic(verse 13)

When I hear a Gospel sermon, do I accept it as being from God?

Am I enthusiastic?

Others were Enemies (verses 14-16)
