Students can learn how other cultures around the world celebrate Christmas and other holidays around the world.

Students can write essays about what they want for Christmas.

Teach the song Feliz Navidad. This could be a good time to explain that

not everybody celebrates the same holidays and we need to respect others.

INCORPORATING INTO CURRICULUM

Students can learn how other countries celebrate their independence.

Day of the Dead in Spanish speaking countries History lessons could be done on the events

originated certain holidays. At the younger grade levels it could be taught in

correlation with learning the months and the calendar.

Overall holidays and the music that accompanies them play a large part of our culture and song is great way to teach them to children.
