PRINCE OF PEACE

ISAIAH 9:6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Prince of PeacePeace.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN IN OUR

EVERYDAY LIFE?

(1)(1) JESUS , THE SAR SHALOME, THE PRINCE OF PEACE WHO COMFORTSCOMFORTS YOU 

JOHN 14:27Peace I leave with you; my peacemy peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

(a) (a) JESUS COMFORTSCOMFORTS YOU FROM LIFE. 

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7Do not be anxious about anything,

but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present present your requestsyour requests to God. And the peace of Godpeace of God, which transcends all transcends all understandingunderstanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(a) (a) JESUS COMFORTSCOMFORTS YOU FROM DEATH. 

JAMES 4:13-17 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

JAMES 4:13-17Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

(2) (2) JESUS, THE SAR SHALOME, THE PRINCE OF PEACE WHO SAVESSAVES YOU 

(a) (a) JESUS SAVESSAVES YOU FROM ETERNAL

HELL AND DEATH. 

ROMANS 5:1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with Godpeace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

EPHESIANS 2:13-16But now in Christ Jesus you who

once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peacehe himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,

with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peacemaking peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to reconcile both of them to God through the crossto God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

(c) (c) JESUS SAVESSAVES YOU FROM ANY HARM. 

PSALM 91:1-10Whoever dwells in the shelter of the

Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snareand from the deadly pestilence.

PSALM 91:1-10He will cover you with his feathers,

and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

PSALM 91:1-10A thousand may fall at your side,

ten thousand at your right hand,but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come overtake you, no disaster will come near your tentnear your tent.
