Step C Learning To Allow Yourself To Be Placed Into The Will Of God For Your Life.

Jesus Is Our Best Example Philippians 2:7a But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a ser-vant, and was made in the likeness of men: ….

I believe that one of the most important things that any Christian can do is to abide in the known will of God for their life. Before we can do God’s will, we must be where we are supposed to be. In high school basketball, we learned where our po-sitions were on the basketball court. Everything worked well, when each of us did our part and kept our position.

Years ago, a little old lady named Miss. Lula Brown, who was wheel chair bound, and who was in a nursing home where I preached, would ask me every week, “Do you know what God wants you to do? You do know that you can know, don’t you?” she would say. What a precious little lady. I was just getting into public service for the Lord, and she prayed for and encouraged me every week. Not very long after that, God revealed to me that the center of His will for my life was the work of an Evangelist/Teacher! According to Holy Scripture, we can find God’s will this way:

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that (1) ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And (2) be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that (3) ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

If We Follow God’s Plan, Then, Being In God’s Will Is Really Very Simple!

(1)We Must Sacrifice Our Bodies. I almost wrote, we must be willing to sacrifice our bodies, but that is not what God says, We must sacrifice our Bodies. God can really never use a double-minded man very much! Neither can He entrust Heavens riches to a man who insists on looking back at the world from which he had left.

(2)We Must A Change In Our Minds (Right Thinking) In God’s Word, only those who receive God’s Word can receive more. If you want more of God’s Word, walk in the truth that you already have.

(3)We Must Prove God’s Will For Our Selves Walking in God’s will, is always the best way to “Prove Out” the Will Of God for your life.

Genesis 24:27 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.
