Last Week1. Jesus approaches us where we

are at.

2. He approaches us while we are busy and going about life.

3. Jesus always confronts the places where he is not Lord, and invites us to let him be Lord of our life.

4. Jesus did not blast us with all that he is, but where we are hiding most.

5. He confronts our autonomy, self-rule.

6. Jesus always knows we are works in progress, (or ought to be) growing in Truth, & becoming more like him.

those …

1. Lacking means.2. Inadequate supplied.3. Deficient in resources.

We are . . .

1. To recall with effort2. To retain in the memory3. To keep as worthyReflecting on the Bible in this way is how we grow.

For example, if we think about those three words, “Remember the poor,” we realize we should do this because once, we were the poor ones, poor before God. He gave to us everything in His love and grace. We were “lacking means” to get to God. That we were “inadequately supplied” and “deficient in resources.” God gave us everything by His grace and in His love.

4. Let it guide you (even a little bit)

“As Christians, we are called to two things: to worship God (that is to cast ourselves upon His mercy). Second, to witness to others, (in obedience to serve our neighbors and exhibit this witness in our lives).”

These four movements are the

pattern of our Christian life

Walking through them is, itself,

Doing Theology.

See ourselves in the Story through a simple, daily study.

Rejoice in devotional prayer, reading, and worship of God.

Reflect on what the Holy Spirit reveals to you, about you.

Obediently give a witness of your faith through, care, love, service, and words.
