Gods Amazing Grace! Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

How many of you believe in the grace of God?Ok then, how would you define what grace is?Grace is often defined as Gods unmerited favor meaning we don't earn it or deserve it and indeed this is the case!Grace = favor or kindness shown without regard to the worth ot merit of the one who receives it and in spite of what that person deserves! (Nelson Bible Dictionary)

Grace is from the word charis!Found 156 times in the NT, 130 of them grace!Charis = benefit, favour, gift, grace, joy, thanks, divine influence upon the heart. (Strongs)It is from this word we get out English words charisma and charismatic!

An imperative part of our salvation! There are two key elements involved in the salvation of man, both on Gods part and on mans part!Gods part Mercy + Grace = Salvation!Mans part Faith + Obedience = Salvation!Eph 2:4. 8 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

Tit 2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. There is more to grace than just our salvation!2 Cor 6:1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.Gods grace is to bring about life change!

One being set free from sin is not the end but the beginning!(Mt. 28:18-20; Rom. 6:3-4)Everyone of us is to be learning daily from Jesus, we are all still a work in progress!Grace comes freely, but with the blessing also comes responsibility!Paul points out two sides to this!Negative side = ungodliness & worldly lust!Positive side = soberly, righteously & godly! When we accept Gods grace, it must change our lives!

III. Grace Separates Us!Its a matter of empowerment! Tit 2:13-14 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. The difference between wisdom & knowledge is one knows & one does!We are schooled, given the knowledge we need so we can then live accordingly!

We are now saints! We are to be set apart for God, to live as holy!We have been called to a life of sanctification! Learning to live life for Jesus!1 Pet. 2:9-12Now to be a friend of God and not of the world!Js. 4:4We now live to bring God glory!Mt. 5:16
