Do you know where your children are?
Do you know where your brother’s children
are?
Do you know where your fellow Jewish
children are?
Are they with Sasha, who was given away at the tender age of three
days,
his mother unable to care for him,
being raised in the State-run
orphanage in the arms of Mother
Russia and in the house of a priest?
Are they perhaps with Nadezhda, "Hope,"
whose Jewish mother abandoned her to her anti-
semitic father ?
Or are they with Boris – a youngster who, lacking a home and a mother to lavish her attention on him,
and Igor – whose sick mother cannot feed him – both of whom were fast becoming hoodlums?
After all, we ARE our brother’s keepers
All of these, and many more, are yours and ours to care
for –
After all, we ARE our brother’s keepers
Chabad of Crimea is here to help you care
That’s why the Lipszyc's took Sasha, Boris, and Igor into their home as sons,
and Nadezhda as a daughter.Today Sasha is back in
Crimea, with his own family, giving back to his
community.Nadezhda graduated

Transforming the Crimean

Center of Life.
Now WEneed YOUR help
Throughout Europe, during the
Holocaust, our synagogues were
burned to the ground. But in the USSR it continued
until the fall of Communism in
1991.
In 1971, our community's Central synagogue was burned and then bulldozed! Unbelievably,
even now, in 2009, the city council wants to repeat the performance,
G-d forbid! They want to burn down, so to speak, the synagogue planned to replace the original synagogue in Simferopol, by confiscating the
property we bought.
In 1998 Property was
purchased to rebuild the shul as the new Jewish Center in Crimea. Just before actually starting to build, an urgent need to open a Jewish Day school arose. The synagogue plans were put on hold and the land remained barren.
In 2007 the city council
voted to take the land away. In an openly miraculous way, they themselves overturned the decision.
We are once again being threatened that the land will be confiscated if we do not begin to build immediately.
The original building plans include: Shul

2nd and 3rd floors
Stage 1 Shell of building, basement and

However, due
to the economic
crisis those plans are on
hold.
Our goal, for now, is to build a preliminary one
story building immediately, thereby making a strong legal
claim that the property is ours.
Its total cost is only $55,000
