INGATHERING

WHAT IS TABERNACLES & INGATHERING

The Feast of Tabernacles & the Feast of Ingathering occur simultaneously beginning the 15th day of the 7th month of Tisri to the 22nd day

The Feast of Tabernacles points to the establishment of the Lord’s booths (churches) as well as the time when God will place his holy tabernacle in Mount Olives during the last days (Parts I & II of this presentation)

The Feast of Ingathering points to the final gathering or harvest of God’s saints, which is also during the last days (Part III of this presentation)

This presentation will be divided in 3 parts

Part I - The Booths - God’s Churches & Safe Havens for His Children

Part II - The Tabernacle - The Holy Mountain & the Footstool of Jesus Christ

Part III - Ingathering - The Final Harvest & Gathering Together of God’s People


HISTORY REVEALS....

For the Feast of Tabernacles & Ingathering, the Lord commanded Israel to make booths to dwell in for seven days; however, the feast lasted for 8 days with the holy days being on the 1st & 8th days

The booths were walled structures made from boughs or branches of “goodly trees”

Each day a sacrifice was made to the Lord

This feast served as a memorial for Israel reminding them that the Lord caused them to dwell in booths in the wilderness after being brought out of Egypt & also points to key events that will occur in the last days


SECTION I

THE BOOTHS God’s Churches & Safe Havens for His Children


THE BOOTHS (OR CHURCHES)

Just as ancient Israel dwelt in booths some of God’s children also dwell in booths today

These booths are small churches that the Lord is preparing in this spiritual wilderness for those people he has brought out of spiritual Egypt

The spiritual wilderness is this world

Spiritual Egypt is likened unto a life of sin


PREPARING THE BOOTHS

In order for these booths to be prepared they must first be founded upon the foundation of Christ

What is that foundation?.........the 10 commandments of God

Using the law as a measuring stick, these churches can establish a doctrine that is according to God’s will

God’s little booths are safe havens for his children, a place where they can learn of his word


NOT EVERY CHURCH IS A BOOTH

NOT EVERY CHURCH in this world is considered a booth of God

NOT ALL of GOD’S CHILDREN are in booths

Why?.....many religious systems in this world have developed ideologies that do NOT advocate the keeping of God’s laws, replacing them with their own man-made traditions such as...

Worshipping on Sunday as opposed to Sabbath

Celebrating Easter instead of Passover


NOT EVERY CHURCH IS A BOOTH

These worldwide religious systems have deceived people all over the world with false doctrine

This includes many of God’s children who are currently blind to the truth & still dwell in spiritual Egypt


STRENGTHENING OF BOOTHS

Before the Lord comes upon this earth, the Holy Spirit will be poured out to beautify and strengthen the small churches

These churches will stand as signs and be places of refuge for God’s people whose eyes will be open to see what the real truth is


SECTION II

THE TABERNACLEThe Holy Mountain & the Footstool of Jesus Christ


WHAT IS THE TABERNACLE?

The Tabernacle is God’s holy sanctuary that will literally be brought down from heaven unto this earth during the second coming of Christ

How?.....Christ will put his foot down on the Mount of Olives splitting it in two (Zechariah 14: 4-21)

It will be a place of worship, refuge and safety for his people and will be covered by a ring of fire and clouds

Where exactly is the Mount of Olives located?


THE MOUNT OF OLIVES

The Mount of Olives is a mountain ridge that parallels the eastern wall of Jerusalem, which is located in Israel

This great mount is mentioned multiple times throughout the scriptures and was a place frequented several times by Christ during his first coming

This is where he would often teach his disciples

Christ also prayed to God the Father on the lower slopes of Mt. Olives at the Garden of Gethsemane just prior to his crucifixion

When Christ returned to heaven after his first coming he ascended up from Mt Olives


ISRAEL THE PROMISE LAND

Because Mount Olives is located in Israel it is important to discuss this country

God chose Israel as the Promise Land for the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and because of this fact, this is where the holy tabernacle will be placed


CURRENT DAY ISRAEL

Though Israel is known worldwide for it’s biblical history, in this current day it has also garnered attention for its ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict, severe economic problems and extreme climate events including draughts and floods

Given these facts, one might wonder why God chose this country as the Promise Land


THE GATE OF HEAVEN

God chooses certain things and certain places to put his name upon

Israel was chosen before the earth was created as the gate or entry way to heaven

It is also the place where God chose to place his name and to place his feet

Before the wicked nations came in to pollute the land, before the children of Israel came, when all was still good, this was the entryway to heaven, the place where God set his garden


A “LAND FLOWING WITH MILK & HONEY” The land of Israel was supposed to be a sanctified land from the beginning, blessed by the presence and name of God

It was supposed to be the land of milk and honey, the glory of all lands

Deuteronomy 11:11-12, “But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord.”


A DESOLATE LAND

At this time, the land of Israel is nothing like the land of milk and honey

Why?....God cursed the land because of Israel’s sin and spewed them out of the country, spreading them throughout the entire world

Israel is now considered barren and desolate, even though it is occupied by many nations

Because of sin, this land continues to be a site for blood shed, war and hatred


CHRIST RETURNS

Though the land of Israel is desolate & corrupted with sin, it will not always be this way

When Christ returns he will take siege of Jerusalem and make war with all the nations of the world

He will place his foot upon Mount Olives, causing an earthquake like no other

The entire world will be impacted by Christ’s return and Israel will be changed forever becoming a place of peace, glory & beauty where God’s holy tabernacle & truth will be


SECTION III

THE INGATHERINGThe Final Harvest & Gathering Together of

God’s People


WHAT IS A HARVEST?

To harvest is the process of gathering mature crops from a field

The harvest marks the end of a growing cycle or the growth cycle for a particular crop

Harvesting also includes the actions immediately after gathering the crop including cooling, sorting, cleaning & packing


SPIRITUAL HARVESTSpiritually speaking, Christ is likened unto a farmer, the crops are people and the field is this world

In this world there are crops that are of good seed, meaning they belong to God and crops that are tares, meaning they are children of Satan

A child of God becomes a mature crop when he or she begins to walk perfectly in the eyes of the Lord; thus prepared for his coming

When a child of God is harvested this involves the removal of sin & death as well as receiving the gift of immortality


GOD’S CROPS

Because crops have different growth cycles, some mature quicker than others

The same principle applies to the children of God, meaning that we reach spiritual maturity at different times & rates

Why?....God opens the eyes of his children according to his will through the Holy Spirit

This is why only some of God’s people are currently privy to the holy truth while the rest are still in darkness

Given these facts, the harvest of God’s people will occur in stages during the last days to ensure that all saints have the opportunity to prepare & be saved

A TIME OF PERIL

Prior to God’s harvest, the perils & troubles of this world will continue to get worst as in the days of Noah & Lot

We will see an increase in violence, sodomy, natural disasters as well as government & economic turmoil, all of which is prophesied of in the bible

It is during these perilous times that God will open the eyes of his children that are in darkness; thus, preparing them for the harvest


PREPARING FOR THE HARVEST There will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the saints of God that remain alive during the last days

The everlasting gospel of Christ will be preached throughout the entire world & those once blind will open their eyes & accept the truth

Remember the booths in Part I of this presentation?......many of God’s children , who have been recently introduced to the gospel, will go to these churches to learn of the word from saints that are already very knowledgeable in the truth


EVENTS PRIOR TO THE FINAL HARVEST When Christ comes down on Mt Olives he will destroy much of the armies of the wicked in this world

They will hate Christ for tearing up their cities and monuments, taking away their wealth and placing their governments in disarray

The wicked will make themselves a leader, the Man of Sin, that will run this world with iron clad control & deceit

The Man of Sin will be given power to kill the saints for 3 ½ years after which the angels of God will destroy him and his kingdom


DURING THE FINAL HARVEST- INGATHERINGThe final harvest encompasses the gathering & uniting of ALL of God’s saints in their IMMORTAL bodies

Because only a remnant of God’s people will remain alive during his coming, the resurrection of saints that died the common death is necessary to make this harvest complete (Please see class on “The Resurrection”)

These saints will resurrect in flesh of glory that is no longer corrupted with sin & death

All of the saints of God will meet & unite together in heaven at the marriage supper of the Lamb where each individual will be granted a crown of life


CONNECTING IT ALL TOGETHER

God has established booths, also known as churches, that are currently attended by those saints that are already knowledgeable about the truth

As the Lord’s coming draws closer, He will pour out his Holy Spirit, to strengthen & beautify the booths & open the eyes of those of his saints that

are in darkness

These same saints will then have the desire to attend these booths to learn of God’s word & prepare for the harvest


CONNECTING IT ALL TOGETHER

When the Lord returns & places his tabernacle on Mount Olives, he will destroy much of the armies of the wicked

The wicked that remain alive will despise Christ for what he did and will seek the leadership of the Man of Sin who will be in power to persecute & kill the saints of God for

3.5 years

After the Man of Sin has been in power for 3.5 years, he will be destroyed by the brightness of Christ’s coming

The resurrection of the saints that died will then take place & ALL of God’s children will have immortality

They will unite in heaven at the marriage supper of the Lamb making the final harvest complete


HOW DO WE CELEBRATE TABERNACLES & INGATHERING

The Feast of Tabernacles & Ingathering last for 8 days with the 1st and 8th days being holy days

The holy days are kept just like a Sabbath, during which we refrain from any common or recreational activities

We decorate our church in green to represent the tree branches ancient Israel used to make the booths and gold to represent the eternal life we hope to gain after God has gathered his people

Our holy ceremonies includes songs of praise, prayer ceremony, hand washing & communion as well as testimonies
