Peter the Apostle

Jesus is not only my Lord and my Savior,

but He is also my very dear friend.

You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you (John 15:14–15 ESV).

What does Jesus ask us to do? “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12 ESV).

Before Jesus departed, He told Peter to feed His sheep. You can read about this in John 21:1–17 and about some of the exciting adventures of Peter being a witness for Jesus in Acts 1–12.

You too can show the love of Jesus to others. Study God’s Word to learn how and to grow closer to Him as your best friend!

Peter wrote two letters that are found in the New Testament, 1st and 2nd Peter.
