1. Heb 2:1-3 = pay attention [LOOK UP] so we don’t drift away. How shall we escape punishment if we ignore such a great salvation?

2. Heb 3:12-13 = see to it that none of you has a heart that turns away; instead, [KEEP UP] encourage one another daily

3. Heb 6:1 = let us leave the elementary doctrines and go on to maturity, [GROW UP] not laying a foundation of religion

4. Heb 10:26-27 = if we deliberately keep on sinning after knowing the truth, no sacrifice for our sin is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. [FIRE UP - warning]

Heb 12:28-29 = Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” [FIRE UP – exhortation]

If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 5.Heb 10:39 = But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who who [STEP UP] have faith and are saved.

24 Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately. 27

When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. On arriving, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed. 28 For he vigorously refuted the Jews in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
