Serving Christ In the Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic (population 9 million) shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti in the

Caribbean Sea. Jarabacoa, located in the Central Mountain Range of the Dominican Republic, has an elevation of 1,500 feet. It enjoys a mild year-

round climate and is known as "The Land of Eternal Springtime." Many rich Dominicans maintain a vacation home here because it is

cooler than at sea level.

Kids Alive International

Kids Alive International is a Christian faith mission dedicated to rescuing orphans and vulnerable children–meeting their spiritual, physical, educational, and emotional needs–raising them to be contributing members of their society and witnesses to their family and community.

Anija

The purpose of ANIJA is to spread the Gospel and combat poverty. We believe that children are a worthy mission field because Jesus loved the children and they are more receptive to the Gospel than adults are. We also believe that poverty can be fought with the Gospel and with education.

El Arca

The goal of the Ark is to take in children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or abused and train them to become productive members of their society and active disciples of Jesus Christ. The program is centered on the relationship between the individual child and his or her housemother/houseparent. The children range between 2 and 17 years old.

Nueva Vida is the local church we attend. It provides us with more ministry opportunities with the youth of Jarabacoa.
