Divine Design

An extremely pleasant, beautiful, Godlike creation that is fashioned from the mind of God and released into earth as a woman of destiny.

God, the great Designer of mankind, attached purpose to everything He designed. When He created women there was a unique and divine purpose associated with their design.

Today as we honor mothers we will take a look at God’s Divinely Designed creation and the affect they

have on the earth.

I think God made a woman to be strong and not to be trampled under the feet of men. I've always felt this way because my mother was a very strong woman, without a husband.

Turn to Genesis 2:18-22

Genesis 2:18-2218. Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” 19. Now out of the ground the LORD God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.

20. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. 21. So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh.

22. And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

A Closer look at God’s Divine Design

What are women designed for?

• Women are designed to help man and mankind reach their purpose.

Genesis 2:1818. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.

• Women are designed to be the standard in which others will follow. Esther modeled courage and conviction to the women of her time.

Take a few a moments and think about the women who were role models in your life. Also, reflect on what you are modeling today to the younger women in your life.

Esther 2:1717. the king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.

Virtue brings high value to women

Virtuous: Conforming to moral and ethical principles, morally excellent and upright

10. Who can find a virtuous wife For her worth is far above rubies.

• Women are designed to display strength and dignity. God created women with these qualities from the very beginning, but sin has stripped them away.

Proverbs 31:25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.

• Women are designed to praise. When a woman praises God, she becomes productive in everything she does.

Proverbs 31:30-3130. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

• Not only does a woman have the potential to bring forth greatness through her womb, but she can also bring forth greatness through the life she lives.

Galatians 4:4-5 4. But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5. to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

• A woman is designed for success and not stress.

Stress comes in order to see if you will chose to surrender to it or if you will get rid of it by casting it on Jesus, who died to handle it for you.

• Women are designed to be transparent and open with God as well as to those who need to see God through her.

Genesis 2:2525. And they were both naked…

• Women come from the mind of God, the Divine Designer.

They are not designed to be ashamed of their physical, emotional, mental or financial status. The best days of their lives are ahead of them.

I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved.
