Making an iron axe swim

At one time a group of prophets said to Elisha, The place where we live with you is too small for us. Let us go to the Jordan, and cut down trees for wood to build a bigger place. And he answered, All right. One man said, Come with us. And he answered, I will go.

So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood. But as one was cutting down a tree, the ax head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! It was a borrowed ax.

The man of God said, Where did it fall? And he showed him the place.

Elisha cut off a stick, and threw it in the water; and the iron ax head came to the surface. Elijah said, Take it out. And the man reached out and took it.

2 Kings Chapter 6, verses 1 through 7
