Siddhartha was born about 583 BC He was born in Northern India He died around 483 BC Siddhartha’s father was King suddhodana His mother is Queen Maya His family class was the warrior class His journey was to find why people where
suffering His mission was how to reach nirvana

desires 3. People can overcome their
desire and ignorance and reach nirvana (nir-vah-nuh) a state of perfect peace
4. They can overcome ignorance and desire by following an eight fold path that leads to wisdom
Right Though Right Intent Right Speech Right Action Right Livelihood Right Effort Right Mindfulness Right Concentration
Is like the understanding thing as they realize the four noble truths
Is the aspect of wisdom it mean to see thing through, to grasp the impermanent and imperfect nature of worldly objects and ideas
Right intent refers to the volitional aspect
Right intent describes best as commitment to ethical and mental self-improvement
Good will meaning resistance to feelings of anger and aversion
To avoid lies Tell the truth Don’t listen to gossip Don’t spread roomer's
around No cussing
Don’t take anything that is not yours
Don’t steel from others
Ask before taking Right conduct
Reject work that hurts others
Some examples for hurtful work Weapons Intoxicants poison
To prevent evil and do good Abandon all words and thoughts Do good thing to help others Do good deeds
Control your anger Be happy Don’t say your thoughts out loud Be kind to others Don’t bully
Meditate Consecration Be calm Peace joy to the point
of great election
