Why Presumption is SIN.
Why Presumption is Sinful...
It demeans Jehovah.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9, CB OT p. 1171
Why Presumption is Sinful...
It intrudes into the things of Jehovah.
“The secret things belong to Jehovah our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
Deuteronomy 29:29, CB OT p. 318
Why Presumption is Sinful...
It is self-exalting.
I know, O Jehovah, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
