What is Baptism?

• “Baptism” comes from a Greek term meaning “to dip, to plunge, to immerse.”– “Down into the water” and “up out of the water.”

(Acts 8:36-38)– “Much water” (John 2:23)

Who Should be Baptized?

• …have been taught. (Matthew 28:19)• …believe. (Mark 16:15-16)• See Acts 8:37• …heard the word. (Acts 2:37-38)

Why Should YOU be Baptized?

• To be saved. (Mark 16:15-16; 1 Peter 3:21)• For the “remission of sins.” (Acts 2:38)• Baptism washes away sin. (Acts 22:16)• To get “into Christ” (Galatians 3:27)
