UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF THE OLD PATHS

A traveller is going to a particular city; he comes to a place where the road divides into several paths, he is afraid of going astray; he stops short, - endeavors to find out the right path: he cannot fix his choice. At last he sees another traveller; he inquires of him, gets proper directions - proceeds on his journey and finally arrives at the desired place.

UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF THE OLD PATHS

The old way God desires us to seek does not refer to archaic or obsolete ways of doing things.

WHY?

The latter rain will always be greater than the former Zachariah 10:1.

The glory of the latter house will ever be greater in splendor than

the former. Haggai 2:6-9.

Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

Ecclesiastes 7:10.

To ask for the old way does not connote the kind of worship we offered God in our times of ignorance nor the way we exercised faith and understood the manifestations of God from myopic perspectives.

What God is bringing our way this season is a call to revival which we all must heed to and hunger for. There is a great awakening that is about to sweep through this fellowship nationwide- Hab.2:14, but we all must be stakeholders in this mighty wave of His move. Once again, God is going to shake the heavens and the earth-this is the old way God is beginning to do in our midst. Ps. 78:1-8; Hab. 3:1-2

The good way is that which has been trodden by the saints from the beginning: it is the old way, the way of faith and holiness. This is the way; let us inquire for it, and walk in it.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto

you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

◦ (Jude 1:3)

Your soul needs rest; it can only find this by walking in the good way.
