Catholic Community of San Luis Rey+ Catholic + + Franciscan + + Multicultural + Welcometo the

4th Sunday of AdventSunday, Dec. 18, 2016

Our Parish is served by the Franciscan Friars of the Province of Saint Barbara. Please pray for our Priests and Brothers.

A Note from Fr.VinceSt. Joseph inspires us today to welcome the Savior. This good and just man does not hand over a child and his mother to a mob for stoning but instead obeys the voice of God and takes Mary to be his wife. Joseph is not losing a wife, hes gaining a Savior!

You and I have a part to play in the story of redemption. All we have to do is get our agenda out of the way and let grace happen.

Abide in Gods love. When we allow Christ into our lives and allow ourselves to be with God, we will produce good fruit, even after difficult times of pruning. When we bear fruit, we experience everlasting joy.Following St. Francis in JOY

In todays Gospel we hear of the coming of Emmanuel, which means God is with us. We celebrate three Advents: the birth of Christ, his Second Coming, and his presence in the world today. Our daily lives are attended by Gods presence. Indeed, God is with us. Stewardship in the Gospel

Time is a gift. Good Stewardship of time is essential to becoming the person God created us to be.Every Day Stewardship

19

Dont wait for the perfect when to abide in Gods love. A joyful life is made up of joyful moments gracefully strung together by trust, gratitude, inspiration and faith. Remain faithful and you will see the fruits of your efforts.Following St. Francis in JOY

20

The Good News of Christs Incarnation is that we are the sign of Christs presence in the world. People see how we love one another, how we treat the stranger among us, give comfort to the poor and afflicted, share the Good News with joy. They see that we are the light of Christ. And there can be no possible response except to say: God is here! Stewardship in the Gospel
