Love of the Father... it is my desire to lavish my love on you..., simply because you are my child and I am your Father.... 1 John 3:1

The painting’s colours are bright - showing the love between the Father and all His children. His strength bears us up - He loved us first and has shown His love for us before we were even formed. Even when we were still in sin, His son died for us (the red clothes of the child signify that we are all born in sin but are redeemed by the blood of Christ. We are redeemed and forgiven (Is 1:15). It also symbolizes the passion that we should feel towards the Father. The blue shirt of the Father depicts the Holy Spirit who is on earth now drawing us to the Father. The Father’s only desire is for us to stretch out our hands and touch His face. As a small child trusts the strength of the One holding him/her, who is not afraid to answer to the love that calls out, but looks straight into His eyes and accepts His embrace so we must believe, as a small child.

The Good Shepherd... as a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart.... Isaiah 40 :11

The mood is more serious. Trouble will always come because we have an enemy who wants to kill and destroy us. Our Father will never leave us and carries us high on His shoulders. He teaches us His ways, to hold onto Him and to look into the future with a hope in our hearts. The colours of both the boy and Father’s clothes are the same symbolizing the fact that it is the Father’s desire to form us in the image of His son. “ Like Father like Son” placing on us His mantle. The background colours symbolize them walking out of the darkness into the Light. The Father’s flesh colour is more radiant; yellow, with a glow, symbolizing the presence of the Holy Spirit - His closeness. It is in the valley that we experience His closeness the most. This painting portrays hope. He will leave the 99 behind to go and search - till He finds the one that was lost. He loves you!

Living waters If ever the need is bigger than what you have in your hands – look up and thank God for the supply He has given…through Grace.

Matthew 14:17 - 21 “And they say to him, We have here but five cakes of bread and two fishes. And he said, Give them to me. And he gave orders for the people to be seated on the grass; and he took the five cakes of bread and the two fishes and, looking up to heaven, he said words of blessing, and made division of the food, and gave it to the disciples, and the disciples gave it to the people. And they all took of the food and had enough: and they took up twelve baskets full of broken bits which were not used. And those who had food were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.”
