By Faith We Overcome the WorldBy Faith We Overcome the World2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the

world. On the contrary they have divine power to tear down strongholds. We demolish

arguments & every high thing that sets itself up against the knowledge

of God & we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

By Faith We Overcome ArgumentsBy Faith We Overcome Arguments• The human mind is the enemy’s primary

target because it is there that faith is developed.

• We have God’s help in that we own the weapons necessary to overcome the enemy and his armies.

• 1 John 4:4 “…greater is He who is in us than the one that is in the world.”

• Faith is believing & living the Word of God. • Romans 10:17 “Faith comes by way of

hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of God.”

Different Kinds of FaithDifferent Kinds of FaithA. The creative faithHebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand

that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”

• Faith has the ability to see what your physical sight cannot see.

• Conceive faith by the Word (Example: Mary)

B. Faith for healing the soul• Proverbs 15:13 “A happy heart

makes a cheerful countenance, but heartache crushes the spirit.”

• One area that brings us into the dimension of faith is inner healing or healing of the wounded soul. A special dose of faith is required for the soul of a person to be restored.

C. Faith to give an offering• Hebrews 11:4 “By faith Abel

offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.”

• The same faith to offer is the same faith that enriches.

D. Faith for physical healing• Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he took our

infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

• Faith is essential for the healing of your body. Jesus conquered all sickness on the cross.

the Lord. (Luke 5:4-5)• Faith is above the senses.

(Isaiah 1:19-20)• Faith overcomes the doubts

and unbelief. (1 Peter 1:7)

ConclusionConclusionFaith is absolute trust that the

believer places in God and in each one of His promises. It

allows him to declare things that are not as if they already are.
