VMware – Blue Medora partner to expand vCOps • In 2013 VMware and Blue Medora signed
an agreement to transfer the legacy VMware ‘Adapter’ for NetApp to Blue Medora
• VMware will End-‐of-‐Support (EOS) the
legacy Adapter for NetApp in March 2015 • Product has been renamed the Blue
Medora VMware vCOps Management Pack for NetApp Storage
• As part of the partnership agreement, Blue Medora will provide exisMng VMware vCOps customers that were running the legacy Adapter for NetApp in producMon, as of May 2014, transiMon producMon licenses for the Blue Medora version along with free unlimited support & maintenance through March 2015
• By April 1st, 2015 customer must choose to either purchase full licenses from Blue Medora OR cease using the Blue Medora vCOps MP for NetApp Storage
• Blue Medora is providing substanMal incenMves for customers to upgrade prior to 2015

How it works
§ The NetApp adapter is an embedded adapter that leverages NetApp Manageability SDK calls to collect NetApp-‐based metrics from the OnCommand Unified Manager Core interface.
§ Requires a NetApp Adapter Instance resource in vCenter OperaMons Manager. The Adapter Instance acts as a data collecMon trigger and the NetApp resources represent various NetApp enMMes and their components.
§ Uses afribute packages that you assign on a global or NetApp resource-‐specific level to determine which metrics to about your NetApp devices.
