Understanding

This document explains the information about our Reminders and Cross Sales Magento

extension. This extension allows your store users to add reminders for special events like

Birthdays, Anniversaries etc. The extension automatically send an email to the users as a

reminder for purchasing a gift from the store.

Features

Store users can set reminders for special events like Birthdays, Anniversaries etc..

This extension send an Auto generated email to the store users as a reminder to purchase a gift.

User can send a greeting to his/her friend.

Users can also set the notification email timing.

This extension is very important in getting cross sales.

System Requirements

EionCube PHP Encoder (8.3) should be installed on your server.

Steps to be taken for Installation

Installation Method 1

>>Step-1. Login with your Magento admin.

>>Step-2. Go to system -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager

>>Step- 3. Login with Magento Connect Manager (with your Magento admin credentials)

>>Step-4. Upload package file (purchased file) in direct package file upload section and click on upload.

>>Step-5. Return to Magento admin and clear cache from System -> Cache Management

>>Step-6. Logout from Magento admin and re-login.

Installation Method 2

The procedure for Installing SoftProdigy's Magento extension is very simple. All you have is the FTP/SSH access and then following these steps to complete installation.

Unpack the Downloaded (ZIP) Package File. Upload all files to the root folder of Magento Installation. Login to Magento admin and clear Cache.

[Note: In case you are using Code Compilation then please disable it before installing the extension.]

How to Set a New Reminder?

>>Step-1. Login your account on the store.

You can use these credentials to Login and save your time:

Email: test@test.com

Password: test@123

>>Step-2. Click on My Reminders in the My Account section on the left.

>>Step-3. Click on Add New Reminder button to add a new reminder.

>>Step-4. Add your Reminder details in this form -> Click on Save Reminder Button

Event Title: Add Your Event Title Here

Event Date: Add Event Date Here

Message: Add Reminder Notification Message Here

Notify (days before the event): Add Email Notification Days Here

Your Email: Add Your Email On Which You Will Get The Email Notification

Friend's email: Add Friends Email On Which Greeting Email Will Be Sent.

Send Greeting: Set “Yes” to Allow extension to send a greeting to your friend.

>>Step-5. Click on the Edit to edit the created reminder.

How to Enable/Disable the Extension?

>>Step-1. Login Magento Admin You can use these credentials to Login and save your time:

Username: admin

Password: demo123

How to Set Friend's Reminder Email Template?

>>Step-1. Go To System -> Configuration -> Reminders -> General Settings >>Step-2. Select a Friends Reminder Email Template here.

>>Step-3. Admin can also create different templates for different events.
