The Joomla certification program will ensure the competence of Joomla professionals. Joomla certification exams will go beyond training by providing a documented measurement of knowledge.

The Certification Extension will manage and deliver all Joomla Certification Exams for the Joomla Community.

Exam Application Frontend:• Student Exam Interface (timed & proctored

exam)• Student Public Profiles (directory of certified

individuals)• Student Private Profile (account & exam

history)• Exam Proctor Interface (for Certification

Partners)

Volunteers We Need

PHP/MySQL DevelopersHighly experienced developing Joomla 3.x components and applications

UX & DesignersFrontend Designers, UX and Usability specialists

Business Analysts & End-User AdvocatesWill help define and document requirements, conduct user acceptance testing

Quality Assurance & Security InspectorsHighly knowledgeable on Joomla extension security, code reviews, QA testing, and security penetration tests

Joomla! Certification Extension Team - Call for Developer Volunteers

As a team member of passionate volunteers:

• You’ll meet weekly with the Certification Extension Team to discuss progress and ensure team alignment

• You’ll join us for at least 6 months of participation

• You’ll dive in deep. All volunteers (except security testers) should be able to volunteer the equivalent of approximately 6 - 8 hours per week

• You’ll sign a non-disclosure agreement and adhere to the highest ethical standards to protect the Certification Exam

Volunteering has lots of benefits!• A unique opportunity to contribute to a major

official Joomla! development effort, separate from the Core Joomla team and PLT

• Volunteers meeting minimum contribution requirements will earn a special community badge and recognition in the public Certification Directory

• Volunteers who do not have access to the real exam content will still be eligible to take the exam and earn Certification
