Install Odoo v8

Summary

The procedure is:

● Add Odoo 8 to software sources /

repositories

● Install the PostgreSQL database

● Install Odoo 8 like any other application

Add Odoo software source

As indicated in http://nightly.odoo.com/ we must

add to the file/etc/apt/sources.list

the following line:http://nightly.odoo.com/8.0/nightly/deb/ ./ deb

Example using Midnight

Commander

Install PostgreSQL and

Odoo

We can run the following commands in the

console / terminal:sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install postgresql

sudo apt-get install odoo

Access the application

Use a browser to access the application using

server’s ip:http://localhost:8069

Create a new database

Final considerations

Adding a password to the database is strongly
