Divas & Dorks Goes #DigitallyDark

We recently asked several bloggers to do without their mobile device for 2 days to simulate what it’s like to experience mobile phone theft. In the LoJack #DigitallyDark challenge, Christen of Divas & Dorks shares what it was like to give up a laptop for 48-hours. In addition, she shares a story of how a friend of hers had a laptop stolen from a car trunk during the process of loading the car for a trip to the airport (I also know someone who had the same theft scenario!).

Christen gave up her laptop, which both felt “healthy” to her, but also triggered many desires to log on to email or social media:

"Although my feelings yesterday were nothing like the feelings that my friend encountered today – it made me realize just how much we are attached to our beloved smartphones, tablets and computers – more than ever before."

Most of our stories have involved smartphones, but each person has a gadget that they are connected to the most, and this story shows that even a laptop theft can have immediate and devastating effects!

Thanks Christen for sharing your #DigitallyDark story!

To protect yourself from being #DigitallyDark as the result of mobile theft, we are offering a great deal. Get TWO years of Absolute LoJack services for the price of ONE - for a limited time. Available for PC / Mac, tablets or smartphones - more information here.
