You can add custom options template both as integral templates and as sets of editable options. If you add a custom options template as an integral template (by clicking Assign Whole Template button), you will not be able to edit the template options for the particular product. Once you edit the template, the changes will be applied to all products which the template is assigned to. If you add a custom options template as a set of editable options (by clicking the Add Templates Options button), you will be able to edit the options for this particular product. This is the same as if you added all the options manually. The templates changes will not be applied to the products where the template is used as a set of editable options. 5. Product edit page. Options Backup and Restore This feature was introduced in Extension version 3.0.0 It lets you backup and restore all your templates and options in case you would like to transfer them to a new Magento (with the Extension installed) or in case of trouble with your Database or the Extension, when the options and templates got deleted. 12. By clicking the button you will restore your custom options and templates from your Database reserve tables. The Extension creates reserve tables in your Database, where your custom options and templates, created in the Extension, are automatically backed up after every saving of state in the Extension (adding new entities, editing entities etc.). You also have an opportunity to restore from a backup file. But restoring from reserve tables is the first quick action you might want to take in case of problem. Doing a backup to file generates a file with .bak extension for download. But the operation also automatically synchronizes your tables with live data and tables with reserve data in your Database. In spite of the fact that all your live data is automatically backed up to reserve tables, we recommend doing the back up to file from time to time. In case of transferring your custom options, created in the Extension on another Magento, you can use the functionality to restore all your custom options and templates data from a backed up file. Or in case of serious Database failure, when your Extensions data got lost restoring from file will help. But you might want to try restoring from reserve tables first. IMPORTANT! If you are using an old copy of the Extension (2.1.1 or older) and are upgrading to the new Module version (3.0.0), please make a backup first thing right after finishing the installation. To do so, please go to Admin CP -> Catalog -> Custom Options Templates -> Options Backup and Restore. Click on Backup data to file button. You should get the following warning Warning! Your live data of custom options and templates might have been damaged. If you proceed the previously backed up data will be overwritten with the damaged data and you wont be able to restore to the previous state. Please perform Data Restore first or proceed if you are confident. Click on Ok for the message and a backup will be generated. After successful backup you can use the Extension normally. 13.
