About Build Stuff

What is Build Stuff?

“BUILD STUFF” is a Software Development Conference for people who actually build stuff.

We bring world-class speakers to the Baltics, letting them share about the latest developments, trends and innovations, as well as new directions in software development.

Recognized by developers from all over Europe, “BUILD STUFF” is Lithuania’s first highly technical conference. Since launching in 2012, it’s really caught on quickly. Our first year saw only 250 attendees. Since then, that number has more than doubled, with people from 22 different countries attending last year.

“BUILD STUFF 2013” boasted one of the best software development speaker lineups in Europe! Along with great guests, the event also held 13 post-conference workshops with well-known software development trainers like Michael Feathers, Mathias Brandewinder, Bertrand Meyer, Alberto Brandolini, Martin Thompson and others.

Does building stuff matter?Definitely, YES! If you’re working in software development, it’s probably hard for you to count the number of times you’ve had to use books, YouTube videos, or do online research to find information.

While there’s lot of information out there on the topic of building software, the problem of how to build sustainable and successful software remains unsolved. Here comes “BUILD STUFF,” with a community of software professionals who offer learning and collaborative opportunities that can help solve months and months worth of bad code problems in a single conversation.

Why is this important for companies? These days, companies can’t survive if they’re not up to date. In order to achieve goals, keeping up with the latest information has become a key element for any organization.

Investing in continued education can save time and resources, and motivate employees!
