F.A.QAdd Live Bookings to my Website
How do I add the live bookings to my website?
Make sure the website booking system is enabled.
1. To do this click ‘Booking Setup’ (Top Right).
2. Then switch the website booking system to ‘ON’.
3. (If there’s multiple users, switch ‘ON’ the users below who want to be able to take livebookings).
4. To set the default appointment slot length that a customer sees set the ‘Minutes per booking slot’ option to the length you require.
Include Code:
If you are using a YellowSchedule Microsite the widget will automatically show up there, however, to add the widget to your own website you need to add a small bit of javascript code onto your website. To get the widget code:
1. In the ‘Booking Setup’ section, click on ‘Install Code’ (Left Menu).
2. Copy the snippet of code in the box and paste it into your website where you want the widget to appear.
‘Advanced Options’ allow you to:
1. Change the number of days displayed and control the width of the booking widget box.
2. Show / hide the user's name & image in the booking form.
3. Show booking times in 24 hour format.
4. Show or hide booking links – this is important if you would like to show your customers when you are available, but do not want them to be able to book themselves in.
5. You can only show a single user. Useful if you need to show single user availability for each of your users for example, if you have a staff page on your website and want to list each staff members schedule.
6. Stay in the same page. Will prevent the booking process from opening a new browser tab.
Setup Working Hours:● You can switch on extra days such as Saturday
and Sunday, or switch off days during the week if necessary.
● You should set the times which you are available to work. If you do not wish to show lunch hours, then you should make sure that these are excluded here.
(The screenshot shows working hours of 9:00am-1:00 and 2:00-5:00pm on Monday and Tuesday)
● Working hours are added on a per user basis. So different users may have different working hours.
Days Off:● If you are taking a known holiday period. Then
this can be added here per user. These can also be set as an annually recurring event – e.g. for Christmas or new year.
Adding a new Service:Under ‘Booking Setup’ click ‘Services List’ on the left menu.
1. When adding a new service. The service title will be visible to customers when booking. The short title will only be visible to you after a customer has made a booking.
2. The appointment length must be entered, but the price can be left empty if desired.
1. Click on ‘Services’ in the user list.
2. And switch on the services for the users. (This process allows different users to offer different services)
Next, you need to enable services for the users. To do this:
Add Image:It is a good idea to upload an image for each user to be displayed in the booking widget. To do this:
1. Click on ‘Edit Image’ in the user list.
2. Find the image to be used and click on upload
3. You will then see a control to allow you to size and crop the image to the correct shape and size. When this is done, click on “Save” to complete this step.
Data Fields:
Another Help guide explains how to setup custom fields for your contacts. Did you know that you can also have your customer, enter these custom field details when they make a booking?
1. To do this you must have already created the custom fields (as outlined here LINK).
2. Click into ‘Data Fields’.
3. Switch on or off the fields which you want to present user with when they make a booking.
