How to get an article into a LinkedIn Pulse channel

Have you noticed a recent change in the content of LinkedIn

Pulse channels?

Why?

• The LinkedIn Pulse algorithm is now indexing Slideshare uploads.

• It appears to show a preference for Slideshare presentations, especially in certain channels.

• Slideshare gives you a ‘scoring’ on how optimised your upload is (see next slide)

LinkedIn Pulse Tips• Decide which Pulse channel you are targeting

• Look at the important keywords found in the headings of posts in that channel.

• Produce a Powerpoint presentation on a relevant subject.

• Keynote and other formats have to be converted to pdf format.

• Use your keywords in the title, description and tags

• Make sure the category is the same as the LinkedIn pulse channel.

• Add the Slideshare presentation to your LinkedIn profile (media)
