Union J are an English band consisting of four members who are Josh Cuthbert, Jaymi Hensley, George Shelley and JJ Hamblett.

The colours Union J use on their album covers, within their videos and through their clothing are bright which goes with the genre of their songswhich is pop. The bright colours used such as purple and blue on the Union J album which connotes that the target audience are teenagers also links with the lighting used in the majority of their videos which is high key and this makes the group appear important and glamourous which is common with pop artists. Union J appeal to teenage girls and so the clothing they wear links to this as the way they style themselves is attractive to the target audience. They tend to wear leather or denim jackets with plain t-shirts and jeans. The fonts used on their albums are sans serif and connote fun appealing to a young audience. The font also looks like quite modern which then links with the band itself being a modern boy band. All of this creates Union J’s brand identity.

On Union J’s album they all appear to be happy which therefore goes with the type of videos they produce for example Tonight (we live forever). This video contains lots of different scenes which appear to be fun. The lighting in the video is high key so therefore connoting just how glamourous the band are and it attracts the audiences attention to the band. Facial expressions such as the happy faces in their more upbeat songs such as ‘Carry You’ and the more serious faces in the less upbeat videos such as ‘Loving You is Easy’, the types of videos produced, the style of the band and the lyrics all reflect Union J’s genre of music. At Union J’s concerts they also wear similar clothes to the ones within in the videos. The clothing the boys wear are leather jackets or denim jackets with jeans and tops without too much detail which would appeal to the teenage target audience. They make their concerts as fun and enjoyable as possible by not being all serious and this is due to the brand identity they have created which is shown through everything they do.
