Introduction Teacher and writer Catherine Wayland has spent most of

her life educating students in a classroom setting, and sharing her knowledge through written works. Recently, Catherine Wayland found a way to merge her two interests—teaching and writing—by writing blogs about her niche in education.

Teachers and mentors often have plenty of experiences to share, but without a platform or specific content in mind. The first step is to choose a blogging platform that is easy to use and reader-friendly. Most blogging platforms today are customizable, and enable teachers to brand themselves uniquely through their own domain name.

Niche Blogging Readers appreciate content that is written with passion

and purpose, which are what most teachers and mentors already have. In this case, their expertise is communicated through blogs. Although it is not necessary to write about a particular niche all the time, it is important to sustain a consistent approach, while still offering different perspectives.

Lastly, teachers and mentors should stay true to themselves as they write. As educators, they command the attention of their students through their personality. The very same attitude should be distinct in their blogs, so that their presence can be felt in each written post.
