Most smokers have been smoking for a long time. Smoking habits are often tied to certain activities, places, or people; such as having a cigarette with your

morning coffee, during a break at work, or after a meal. Being in these same situations after you’ve quit can trigger an urge to smoke.

The snuff is a product of agriculture originated in America and processed from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. It is consumed in various ways, the main

combustion producing smoke. Its particular nicotine content makes it very addictive. It is lawfully marketed

worldwide (except Bhutan), February 1 although in many countries has numerous restrictions on

consumption, adverse effects on public health. Its composition includes an alkaloid, nicotine, found in the

leaves in variable proportions (from less than 1% to 12%).

• The most vulnerable moment coincides with the onset of adolescence and at age 15 is where a higher peak of 27.1%.

• Six out of ten adolescent smokers consume less than ten cigarettes per day (33%, only between one and five). And a very small percentage, 1.5% of boys, smokes 26 cigarettes a day above.

Cancer
