• I have chose this question because I would like to know my target audience of my school magazine or who is most likely to buy my magazine.

• 15 percent of the people who took my survey were 17 to 18 year olds. Whereas the other 85 percent of the people are 15 to 16 year olds. This means that it is most likely that sixth formers and year 11’s are going to buy my magazine. So therefore my target audience will be 15 to 18 year olds as no other age group took my survey.

Question 1

• I have chose this question to see what is the gender of my target audience.

• 50 percent of the people who took my survey were female and the the other 50 percent was male. This suggests that my target audience is a mixture of female and male. So my magazine is including everyone, not just one gender.

Question 2

• I have chose this question because it allows me to get people’s opinions to see how much people are willing to pay on a school magazine.

• 65 percent of the people said they would pay £1.00 for a school magazine. Whereas the other 35 percent said they would pay £2.00 for the school magazine. So for my actual school magazine I will make sure it is £1.00 because more people are likely to buy I because it is cheaper.

Question 3

• I have chose this question because it shows how frequently people buy magazines and how frequent people will buy my school magazine.

• 5 percent said they buy a magazine everyday, 40 percent said they buy a

magazine once every fortnight, 15 percent said that they buy a magazine once every week and the other 5 percent said they buy a magazine every year. This means that since more people said that they buy a magazine every fortnight, I should publish my school magazine every 2 weeks.

Question 4

• I have chose this question because it gives me an idea of what people most like about school.

• In my survey 5.26% of my responses said that their favourite thing about school was lessons. 36.84% said that their favourite thing is school trips/ events. 47.37% said that their favourite thing is socialising with friends. Whereas the last 10.3% said that they mostly like the support given to them at school.

Question 5

• I have chose this question as it is very important that I gather the right responses in order to achieve my target audience of students, so I have to find out what it is the school magazine should contain.

• 25% of the responses said that they would want to be informed about school term dates. 20% said after school club activities, 35% said upcoming school events, 5% said lunch menu and 15% said information about exams.

• This has helped me with my school magazine because I now know what type of information should be in my school magazine.

Question 6

• I have chose this question because it is important to find out from my target audience, what kind of advice my magazine should give to the students.

• 36.84% of my responses said that they would like advice on revision tips, 42.11% said they want advice on bullying, 15.79% said they want advice about situations outside of school and 5.26% said that they want advice on how to adjust into school.

• This has helped me with my school magazine because I now know what type of advice will be helpful and suitable to put in my magazine.

Question 7

• I have chose this question so that I can get an idea of what type of title my school magazine should be called.

• 25% of my responses said that they would like my school magazine to be called Endeavour. 20% said Archie’s, 30% Ilsley Monthly, 15% Inside Ilsley and 10% said Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School.

• This has helped me because it has made me make a clear decision of what my magazine should be named.

Question 8

• I have chose this question it is important to find out what colours best suit the school for the magazine or what type of colours my target audience think will best suit the magazine.

• 70% of my responses said that they would like the colour scheme to be blue, red and white. 20% said that they want blue, white and black. 10% said that they want red, white and black.

• This has helped me because it clearly shows that the majority of my target audience will want the colour scheme blue, red and white.

Question 9

• I have chose this question because I would like to find out what school subjects most interest my target audience.

• 10% of my responses said that their favourite subject is Maths. 40% said English, 15% said Science, 10% sais Physical Education, 15%said Design and Technology and 10% said History.
